Exploring Venice.AI’s Hot New Features: Image Editing, Social Feed, and Auto Mode!

The team at Venice.AI is busy again and just dropped some major and cool updates. If you haven’t checked it out lately, it’s worth a visit. The new features generally work well in my testing and make the whole experience smoother.

Let’s go over what’s new.

1. Venice Image Editing (Inpainting) is Back!

It’s back. Venice has reintroduced image editing for Pro users, now using the Flux Kontext DEV model. If you don’t know what that means, that’s okay.

In my tests, this version understands plain English. You don’t seem to need a special command or prompting language, and the sliders behave more intuitively.

My experience with this feature has been generally positive. It works similarly to ChatGPT’s newest image generation, but in my experience, the results are not as polished. With that said, it’s a great bonus and welcome addition to Venice’s platform.

Here’s what I’ve found works best: Either change one thing about the image or change the overall vibe of it. Don’t get too complex.

How to Use It:

  • Upload an image using the paperclip icon, then click “Edit Image.”
  • OR generate an image in Venice first, and then hit the paint roller icon.
  • Type what you want to change about the image. Simple. Get as creative as you want.

Example Prompts:

1. Make it look like a fat Black woman is trying to kiss him. Do not change anything else about the image whatsoever.

2. Make it look like this image was taken in a hip nightclub setting.

3. Colorize this black and white image.

What It Can Handle:

  • Object edits: Take stuff out or swap it for something better
  • Style changes: Adjust the entire vibe or art style
  • Pose and composition changes: Reframe without starting over
  • Lighting and color tweaks: Fix the mood, tone, or contrast

And yes, it’s all within Venice. No juggling multiple apps or windows.

2. The Venice.AI Social Feed

There’s a new social sheriff in town, and it’s designed not to spy on you.

Venice now lets you share your image creations and browse what others are making. The new Social Feed makes it easy to post images, view other users’ work, and see what prompts they used.

Here’s What You Can Do:

  • Share: Post your image, add tags, and optionally include your prompt
  • Browse: Scroll through the feed and see what others are creating
  • Vote: Upvote or downvote images
  • Save: Bookmark your favorites in your personal image collection
  • Use Prompt: Copy someone’s prompt and use it in your own chat

You Can Also Follow Creators:

  • Tap “Follow” to stay updated on your favorite artists
  • The “Following” tab gives you a personalized feed
  • “Saved” shows everything you’ve bookmarked

If you’re worried that this will share your username with other users or destroy the privacy aspect of Venice and ruin your life, then think again. By default, Venice uses a random, anonymous username for you, which you can change to something else if you’d like.

A commenting feature is also in the works, so prepare for that update soon. Speaking of comments, here’s one you won’t regret hearing: You can get Venice today with an exclusive 20% discount with promo code RUNTHE20.

3. Venice.AI’s Automatic AI Model Selection (Auto Mode)

Choosing the right AI model can sometimes feel like guesswork. Auto Mode helps with that.

Select “Auto” and Venice will choose the model for you based on your prompt. It works quietly in the background and makes the process more efficient and easier.

Want to see which model was picked? Just click the “i” icon under the response and check the “Model” label.

Another benefit: Auto Mode lets you generate both text and images in the same thread. No need to toggle between two modes anymore. Nice.

I plan on using auto mode the majority of the time now and switching it to manual mode only when I know for sure that my prompt needs extra power and don’t want to rely on the AI to choose it for me.

Some people might wonder if this feature is just a clever way to reduce compute costs by automatically using the least expensive model as much as possible. There may be an element of truth to that. I don’t know for sure, but after testing the feature, it did a good job at knowing when to select large vs. small models in my tests.
