12 Reasons Why ChatGPT & AI Are Secret Weapons For Solopreneurs!

by Nick Smith
Solopreneur making money with ChatGPT and AI

Solopreneurship means playing every role in your business—from founder and marketer to bookkeeper and support desk—all before lunch (or after your day job). You must do more with less. The time is now. Adapt or die.

But here’s the thing: You no longer need to go it alone. I know the term is cliché, but using ChatGPT as a solopreneur is a game-changer. And it’s not just ChatGPT. Other AI tools offer full-on productivity and efficiency toolkits for solopreneurs who handle everything from ideation to execution.

As a solopreneur myself, I started Run The Prompts in March of 2023 partly because I saw the potential AI had to make an entrepreneurship journey a LOT easier than it would have EVER been before. That vision turned into a reality, and I don’t regret it for even one second.

AI has evolved into a smart, fast, versatile, and incredibly helpful assistant that works 24/7 and doesn’t send passive-aggressive Slack messages, sue you, or sexually harass you.

I went out of my way to include the TOP reasons why you should be using AI in your small business, as well as a ton of helpful resources that you need to check out before it’s too late and your competition gets to this article first. Be sure to bookmark this page if you want to make more money as a small business owner.

This post is tailored to digital hustles, but a lot of it can apply to traditional brick-and-mortar businesses as well. So don’t get mad if you’re trying to build the next Dairy Queen. There are tips here that will work for you, too.

Here’s how I use AI and ChatGPT in my daily solopreneurship workflow here at Run The Prompts, and how anyone can do the same. Let’s go.

1. Brainstorming Buddy: Generate Business Ideas in Seconds

When you’re stuck staring at a blank doc, ChatGPT can help you generate fresh ideas fast—blog topics, course names, product pitches—whatever you need. It’s like having a creative partner on call 24/7, minus the dumb small talk about the weather.

Have a business idea but not sure if it’s any good? Bounce your ideas off the AI. Tell it to give it to you straight—no BS or sugar-coating. Rinse and repeat as needed.

2. Legal Help (That Won’t Charge You $500/hr)

Lawyers are way too expensive, and they have huge, annoying egos. You’re not a lawyer (I’m guessing). Neither is ChatGPT. But you can use AI to decode LLC documents, contracts, and tax lingo into plain English.

AI makes the legal stuff much less intimidating, so you’re better prepared when it’s time to consult an actual attorney (if you need to).

Worried about putting sensitive data into ChatGPT? You should be. Luckily, there’s an alternative to ChatGPT called Venice.AI. With Venice, your chats, prompts, and uploaded documents only get stored locally in your browser. And since you run the prompts with us, you get 20% off Venice Pro with promo code: “RUN20.” Or you can just use the free version.

Disclaimer: This is NOT legal advice. If you need help with the law, use a lawyer.

3. Design Help: Get Graphics Without a Designer

Need a logo, ad, or thumbnail? AI tools like ChatGPT’s new image generator and Midjourney can handle design tasks instantly. I’ve used them to create YouTube thumbnails, icons, and branded visuals that look like I paid someone. (I didn’t.)

For solopreneurs without design skills, AI is a serious upgrade. If you have zero creative abilities, AI can instantly boost you from zero to 7/10. If you’re already a 10/10 designer, AI will launch you into the stratosphere.

4. Help with SEO

Search Engine Optimization doesn’t have to be overwhelming or confusing. I use ChatGPT to generate meta titles and descriptions, blog outlines, and alt tags that check all the right boxes.

I even built custom GPTs (in those links) to streamline this process—because life’s too short for keyword stuffing and rage-clicking.

5. Ads: AI That Writes Copy Like It’s Been to Marketing School

Writing ad copy that converts is hard if you have no idea what you’re doing. Don’t worry, most people don’t. But AI can help you create headlines, descriptions, and CTAs that actually work and make you more money in the process.

I use it to speed up everything from Google Ads to landing pages and then tweak it to fit the tone. One of our top GPTs is Digital Marketing Copywriter Pro, which has been used over 5,000 times and has 100+ ratings with an average rating of 4.3 out of 5.

6. Strategy: Use ChatGPT as a Business Coach

AI isn’t just for tasks. It’s also a sounding board. I’ve built personal GPTs that understand my brand, my goals, and my target audience—and I use them to simulate strategic conversations. Need a SWOT analysis? A pricing model? A customer persona? Done.

A book I highly recommend is The AI-Driven Leader (no affiliation). The author goes into detail about why it’s crucial to use AI for strategy… before everyone else starts doing it.  He even gives you all the prompts and instructions you need for success.

7. Photography: Build Brand Images from Scratch

Don’t have a photographer? Don’t have the cash for one? No problem. AI can create custom photos tailored to your brand. I’ve used AI to create product photos, model portraits, and even LinkedIn profile photos.

Here’s my AI Run The Prompts brand ambassador, Nina. I created her using a combination of Midjourney and Photoshop. You may recognize her from the downloadable PDF.

8. Proofreading: Edit Without the Second-Guessing

If you’re a solopreneur putting out content regularly, your writing needs to be sharp to look professional. ChatGPT doubles as a reliable proofreader that fixes grammar, checks tone, and keeps your message clear. Spelling and grammar mistakes can kill your sales and/or business reputation. Don’t let it.

If you want a fast, easy, and free AI proofreader, check out our GPT: Proofreader Pro. I use it for every article, page, social post, and email for Run The Prompts.

9. Content Creation: Faster Drafts, More Output

From blog posts to sales pages and YouTube video scripts, AI makes content creation a lot less painful. Did you know the first draft of this post was brought to you by ChatGPT?

Start with an idea, let ChatGPT build a structure, and refine from there. You get more done in less time—and still keep your voice front and center.

You can even teach AI to write in your voice with Claude.

Personally, AI has helped me crush blog posts at 2X, 3X, and sometimes even 4X the speed it would’ve taken back in the old days. And the quality of the content is better, too.

10. No Coding Experience? Try “No Code” Tools

Not a coder? Doesn’t matter. Tools like Replit let you prototype apps, debug code, or even build apps from the ground up (depending on their complexity and scope, of course). It’s a new, hip term called “Vibe Coding.” Yeah, it sounds a little cringe, but get over it, okay?

For solopreneurs with product ideas but no technical skills, no code tools open serious doors.

11. Data Analysis: Turn Numbers into More Dollars

Upload a spreadsheet to ChatGPT (or other AI tools that support analytics), ask a few questions, and the AI will produce clean visuals and insights. Charts, graphs, tables, correlations, scatterplots—you name it, it’ll likely do it.

I use it for ad performance, website traffic trends—even my company’s financials. You can too. AI makes analytics way less intimidating, more useful, and more profitable. Guess what? Numbers are no longer boring.

12. An Agentic Future: Let AI Autonomously Handle the Heavy Lifting

You can now schedule tasks in ChatGPT, generate recurring reports, and even run workflows in the background using agent-based AI tools. It’s like cloning yourself—but the clone doesn’t complain, take dumps, or need coffee to be productive.

Agents are the future of AI use, and you better believe that Run The Prompts will be cranking out new content soon to inform all of you how to use it to your advantage.

Wrapping it up

Look, you don’t need to be a tech genius to start using ChatGPT as a solopreneur. You just need to start. Pick a task you hate doing. Let AI take a shot at it. Iterate from there. Rinse and repeat. Stack your money.

The future of solo work isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing things smarter. And AI is the smartest tool you’re probably not using enough.
